The Best Tesco Wines Right Now: 36 Bottles Worth Buying

Supermarket wine shopping can be chaotic. Too many bottles, too many labels, and a lot of wines that are just… fine.

So I went through Tesco’s range and pulled together the bottles actually worth knowing about. This is the full edit: sparkling, white, rosé, red, alcohol-free, and one wildcard bottle that sits slightly outside the usual wine lane.

Some are easy crowd-pleasers. Some are proper wine geek picks. Some are just very good value. All of them made this list for a reason.

A few bottles I’d pull out for different occasions

For a summer picnic

Dianthos Xinomavro Rosé 2025 — £10.50

Fresh, balanced, and very easy to like. The berries-and-cream feel makes it charming without being too sweet.

For a dinner party

Tesco Finest Ribera del Duero Ebeia 2024 — £12

This feels polished and reliable. It has enough structure to feel like a proper bottle, but it is still easy to serve to a mixed crowd.

For a sparkling wine moment without spending Champagne money

Alegro Sparkling Rioja 2022 — £12

Fun, different, and genuinely good. One of those bottles that makes people stop and ask what it is.

For a wine geek white

El Enemigo Semillón 2024 — £18.50

This is the bottle for the person who wants something with texture, depth and a bit of intrigue. Very much a “wait, Tesco has this?” wine.

For an easy midweek white

Tesco Finest Viñas del Rey Albariño 2025 — £12

Fresh, zippy, and uncomplicated in the best way. Very easy to recommend.

For a crowd-pleasing red

Tesco Finest Primitivo Terre d’Abruzzo IGT 2024 — £8.50

Soft, juicy, and easy. The sort of red that disappears fast.

For alcohol-free that still feels grown-up

Real Blush Alcohol-Free Sparkling Rosé NV — £9.50

This felt like one of the stronger alcohol-free options. A proper bottle for when you want the occasion without the alcohol.

Final thoughts

What I like about this Tesco range is that it is not just one thing. There are easy wins, there are proper classics, there are a few bottles for people who want to explore, and there are some alcohol-free options that feel more considered than the usual afterthoughts.

That is what makes this useful. You can shop for a picnic, a dinner party, a Tuesday night, or a bottle to impress your wine friend, all in the same aisle.
